Privacy policy

This is the main privacy policy for Laura Davis. I collect different types of information about users for two main reasons:

  1. To provide a personalised experience unique to individual users

  2. To help me monitor and improve my services, including via direct user feedback from events

Where I store your data

The data that I collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. I will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy and, to the extent that such transfer is within my control, with the relevant protections required by law in place.

This site is accessible via the internet and so may potentially be accessed by anyone around the world. Other users may access the site from outside the EEA. This means that where you choose to post your data on this site, it could be accessed from anywhere around the world and therefore a transfer of your data outside of the EEA may be deemed to have occurred. You consent to such transfer of your data for and by way of this purpose.

The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although I will do my best to protect your personal data, I cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to my site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once I have received your information, I will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

How cookies are used by Laura Davis

This site uses small amounts of data stored on your computer called ‘cookies’ to collect information about how visitors use it. You can control what cookies, if any, are stored on your computer. Find out more about cookies below.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small amount of data sent to your computer or mobile phone from a website. It often includes a unique identifier and is stored on your device’s hard drive. I don’t use cookies to collect information that can be used to identify you.

Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it. Your browser is the computer program you use to access the internet. By default, your browser will only allow a website to access the cookies it’s already sent to you, and not the cookies sent to you by any other website. This is to protect your privacy.

Rejecting cookies

If you want to restrict or block the cookies set by this website you can do this through your browser settings. The ‘Help’ menu in your browser should explain how you can do this, as well as how to delete cookies from your computer. For more information, see the ‘About cookies’ website.

Mobile phones – rejecting cookies
For information about how to reject cookies on your mobile phone’s browser, see your handset manual.

Google stores the information collected by the cookie on servers in the United States. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. By using the site, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
